MO7 Congressional Candidates Questions

  1. What does being a Constitutional conservative Republican mean to you?

  2. How does the Republican Party platform of “maximum individual liberty” contrast with federal proposals for mandating health-care?

  3. The Constitution of the United States, ARTICLE 1, Section 8, lists the “enumerated powers of Congress.” Which, if any, cabinet departments, agencies and/or programs of the federal government exceed Constitutional authority?

  4. It seems to take some “special issues” to motivate citizens to leave the comfort of their homes, disrupt busy schedules and get active in asserting “government of the people, by the people and for the people.” What are some of those “special issues” from your perspective?

  5. Would you agree - why or why not – that the level of frustration citizens have is high and getting stronger so that elected officials of either party are an endangered species?

  6. The current Republican House Leadership team is much the same team as before the 2006 and 2008 elections. If you are elected as a freshman Congressman from MO7, will you vote to retain the same House Leadership? If 'yes', why? If 'no', why not?

  7. Elected officials have two roles: Listen & Learn from the citizens and community leadership they represent and then Lead that representation. How are those roles of Listen, Learn & Lead working for you?
